Editor’s Note: After covering TradeFi for three decades, I have to think long and hard to find as strange and egregious a case as that of Prime Trust. The story could literally come from a movie. Those who saw “It’s a Wonderful Life” should recall that George Bailey did NOT run to the casino after Uncle Billy lost the savings and loan’s $8,000. Yet, that appears to be exactly what someone at Prime Trust did. The question now is, who knew about the lost keys and the harebrained scheme to use omnibus accounts to close the hole, and when did they know it. As always, if you have news of your own drop us a note at “editors@cefiwire.com”.
