Paypal's Schulman Sees DLT as a Boon

His co-panelists at Davos did not seem to share his enthusiasm for the four horses of Web3: Crypto, DLT, stablecoins and CBDC.

Those wondering why may want to take a peek at a Davos panel that featured NYSE Group’s Lynn Martin and State Street’s Ron O’Hanley. Both seemed to pooh-pooh the benefits of new tech. Meanwhile PayPal’s CEO sang the praises of Web3. Our take: Don’t look for innovation to come from the established players. They have too much to lose. This makes Fidelity’s embrace of Web3 tech all the more amazing.
